Nerd Corps Entertainment has signed a slew of new deals for its boys’ property Slugterra in Turkey, Greece, South Africa and Latin America.

Three more licensees have joined the roster in Turkey, where the series airs on Disney XD and Disney Channel: Yasin Tekstil is planning sweatshirts and pajamas; Sesli Tekstil has signed on for bedding; and Degar will create housewares and sports equipment including cups, tables and chairs, writing boards, dart games, basketball hoops and water guns.

In Greece, Malta and Cyprus, Gim is planning a range of items for the brand including back-to-school products, gifting, air mattresses, swim rings, air bands, body boards and tableware.

Back-to-school merchandise is also coming to South Africa with new licensee Interbrand.

Finally, Slugterra products continue to launch across Latin America, the latest of which include stationery and paper goods from Manpalider and lunchboxes and snacks from Expro in Central America. Toys from Jakks Pacific began rolling out in Latin America in last fall.

Two new waves of toys from Jakks will hit shelves in 2014.

“We’re continuing to grow the brand strategically with great licensing agents, licensees, new toy products, brand-new content and more free-TV networks coming on board,” says Ken Fair, el presidente, Nerd Corps. “With so many product and TV launches happening around the world, 2014 is going to be the Year of the Slug.”
