NBCU Takes Stake in BuzzFeed

NBCUniversal has agreed to make a $200 million equity investment in the technology-driven global media company BuzzFeed.

As part of the investment, the companies will also explore strategic partnerships across both organizations in the coming months.

BuzzFeed currently reaches more than 200 million monthly unique visitors and garners 1.5 billion video views a month.

This is the second digital investment NBCU has made this month, with the studio previously announcing

a similar investment in the digital media company Vox Media.
