NATPE: Nick Makes South American Sales

VIMN announced a raft of new free-to-air deals for Nickelodeon series in South America at the NATPE market, taking place this week in Miami, Fla. The programming seals span multiple countries in the market including Brazil, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Venezuela.

In Brazil, national network Bandeirantes acquired 120 hours of new Nickelodeon content, including 20 episodes of the live-action series “Wendell and Vinnie” as well as a presale of season two of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Also in Brazil, SBT has picked up seasons one and two of the live-action series “Sam & Cat” and the first two seasons of “Haunted Hathaways.”

In Ecuador, Teleamazonas has ramped up its preschool offering, signing for season one “Peter Rabbit” and “Robot and Monster.”   

Telenica in Nicaragua followed suit adding “Paw Patrol” into the mix, as well as “Sam & Cat,” “Haunted Hathaways” and “Wendell & Vinnie.”

Venevision in Venezuala, Unitel in Bolivia and Canal 10 in Uraquay have bought season one of the animated series “Monsters vs. Aliens.”

Finally in Mexico, Televisa has bought more than 20 different series from the Nickelodeon portfolio including “Sam & Cat,” “Haunted Hathaways,” “Marvin Marvin,” “Wendell and Vinnie,” “Sanjay & Craig,” “Monsters vs. Aliens” and “Peter Rabbit.”
