The Madison Square Garden Company and Azoff Music Management have teamed up to create a new entertainment company that will be called Azoff MSG Entertainment.

Described as a “new-model music, media and entertainment company,” Azoff MSG will focus on creating ongoing opportunities for artists through marketing, branding and live events.

Irving Azoff will continue to manage his clients, which include The Eagles, Van Halen, Christina Aguilera and Steely Dan. In addition, the new company will hold a 90 percent interest in the music publisher Global Music Rights, which develops and licenses copyrighted works; launch a new television production and live event branding unit; and take a 50 percent ownership in Digital Brand Architects, which manages bloggers, connecting them with other brands and helping them exploit social media opportunities.
