Usain Bolt has joined the characters of Mr. Men & Little Miss in a new collaborative story.

Written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves, son of the Mr. Men founder Roger Hargreaves, the new Sanrio collaboration of Usain Bolt and Mr. Men & Little Miss aims to inspire children worldwide. 

“It’s important to me that I can inspire children all over the world, from different walks of life,” says Usain Bolt. “This is why the Mr. Bolt book, and his story means so much to me. There’s an important message in the book which is delivered with fun and humor and it makes children smile. It was great to partner with the iconic Mr. Men Little Miss series to create the Mr. Bolt story. I love the creativity, energy and fun these books bring to children all over the world. I’m very proud of the ‘Mr. Bolt’ book and thrilled to be part of their universe!” 

“Usain’s achievements are a remarkable feat of athletics and it’s an honor to be asked to turn him into a Mr. Man,” says Adam Hargreaves. “I had a lot of fun creating the book and Usain makes for the perfect Mr. Man character, the fastest man in the world! I hope that everyone enjoys reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it.”

Published by OPUS, the new licensed entrance of Mr. Bolt into the Mr. Men universe comes with a celebratory campaign that hides six golden tickets within Mr. Bolt books at random, which will allow six winners the chance to meet Usain Bolt in 2022 and receive a signed copy of the book.
