Monopoly ‘Wicked’ Edition Launches

With movie musical, “Wicked: Part 1,” headed to theaters Nov. 22, Hasbro has announced the launch of Monopoly “Wicked” Edition, a licensed twist on the classic game. The limited-edition board game immerses fans in the world of “Wicked,” from the Land of Oz to the Emerald City.  

Monopoly “Wicked” Edition features locations, character tokens and exclusive movie-themed gameplay. Six golden zinc Monopoly tokens are included: Elphaba’s hat, Elphaba’s Broom, Elphaba’s Bottle, Glinda’s Crown, Glinda’s Trunks and The Grimmerie. In this Monopoly game, Munchkin Homes and Emerald Castles replace houses and hotels. Cards contain moments from the film. 

Available for pre-order on Amazon, the game is designed for ages 8 and up and can be played by as little as two or as many as six players.
