Miraculous Corp, the joint venture between Mediawan and ZAG that unites all facets of the globally acclaimed Miraculous franchise, has appointed IMC: International Merchandisingto develop the brand in the southern regions of Latin America. IMC will manage the brand’s expansion in Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay and collaborate with DOCE in Chile. The announcement was made today by Angela Cortez, vice president, licensing and retail, Latin America and Canada.

As “Miraculous - Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir” approaches its 10th anniversary in 2025, its global appeal continues to grow, captivating audiences in over 120 territories since its debut in 2015. The series follows the adventures of two seemingly typical teens, Marinette and Adrien, who magically transform into secret superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to save their city of Paris from unexpected villains. Following last year’s “Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie,” which topped box office charts in France and Germany and garnered over 35 million views on Netflix in its first month, anticipation is building for the release of the highly awaited sixth season which the company will start to deliver later this year.

“Ladybug and Cat Noir have deeply resonated with audiences of all ages across Latin America,” says Cortez. “The superheroes are empowering figures to younger viewers, while the intricate “soap opera” storylines of alter ego’s Marinette and Adrian attract older audiences. By partnering with IMC International Merchandising and DOCE, we are leveraging their expertise to craft a comprehensive licensing strategy tailored to each market’s diverse consumer preferences, cultural nuances and regulatory environments. With access to an extensive network of resources, including industry contacts, marketing expertise, and legal support, we are well-positioned to expand into new categories and reach a broader audience.”

Both agents will report to Rosalba Flores, the company’s licensing manager for Mexico and South America (Chile, Argentina and Peru).

“The entire IMC team is very grateful for the trust placed by Miraculous Corp in our company,” says Leonardo Gutter, founder, chief executive officer, IMC: International Merchandising. “There are multiple opportunities for us to expand the Miraculous brand across these rich and diverse countries and we look forward to working with Angela and her team.”

“We are so excited to add ‘Miraculous’ to our prestigious roster of brands and are confident that with our deep expertise across Chile, we will quickly expand the consumer products program for fans across our country,” adds Sebastian Donoso, commercial director, DOCE.
