Viz Media Europe has acquired the animated TV series “My Hero Academia” for Europe.

The new anime series will be available for TV, home entertainment/VOD and licensing and merchandising rights in Europe (excluding the U.K. and Scandinavia), Russia and Africa.

“My Hero Academia” is based on the superhero manga series of the same name. It was created by Kohei Horikoshi and is being animated by Japanese studio Bones, which has been behind other anime productions such as “Fullmetal Alchemist,” “Soul Eater” and more.
