Phoenix International Publications has acquired the North American book rights for Spin Master’s Netflix original preschool series, “Mighty Express,” under its licensed children’s book imprint PI Kids.

“Sound, Look & Find” book block, bath and cloth books will hit North American markets in summer 2022.

“‘Mighty Express’ is packed with mega missions, cool tools and exciting trains that deliver fun and accomplishment in every episode,” says Shane Mang, director, licensing and sales, Spin Master. “From the importance of teamwork to new adventures with hilarious moments, our publishing partnership with PI Kids will add a new storytelling experience for ‘Mighty Express’ fans.”

“As long-time admirers of Spin Master's success with PAW Patrol, we jumped at the chance to work again with their team on ‘Mighty Express,’” says John Russell, vice president, Phoenix International Publications global licensing, Phoenix International Publications. “We're 'full steam ahead' on what's sure to be their next smash hit property. PIP is excited to launch our line of innovative, fun and engaging sound and novelty titles to help young fans engage with the great lessons to learn from Tracksville and its favorite characters.”

“Mighty Express” debuted on Netflix in fall 2020 with four seasons currently streaming on the platform. Season five is scheduled for release Oct. 12.
