Rainbow has announced plans for a second season of “Mia and me,” a co-production with Lucky Punch and March Entertainment, and plans to continue to grow the brand’s licensing program.

The second season of 26 x 23 episodes will be officially presented at MIPcom in October for broadcast at the end of 2014/early 2015.

In preparation for the brand’s continued growth, Rainbow has appointed a series of new regional agents that include Exim Licensing in Latin America, Wild Pumpkin in Australia and New Zealand, PopCorn in Portugal, Point of View in Israel, B-Rights in Greece and Planeta in Spain.

Product is already being developed by partners that include Ravensburger, Simba Toys and AMC Toys, with international toy partner Mattel planning to launch its first line next year.

Season one of “Mia and me” has already been sold to more than 70 broadcasters in 60-plus countries, the most recent of which include ClanTV (Spain), RTBF/OUFtivi (Belgium), YoYoTV (Hongkong, Macao, Singapore, Taiwan), KBSN (South Korea) and Karakhstan TV.
