Lionsgate has teamed up with The Works Entertainment to bring the film franchise Now You See Me to the stage.

The agreement will see the two companies produce a unique performance that blends magic, technology and illusions similar to what was in the film. The stage production will feature several famous magicians and performance groups including The Horsemen a group of four illusions; “The Showman” James More, a viral magician from “Britain’s Got Talent”; “The Manipulator” Florian Sainvet, a French Magic Champion and finalist on “France’s Got Talent”; “The Escape Artist” Sabine van Diemen, from “Holland’s Got Talent” and West End Productions’ The Illusionists; and “The Mentalist” Enzo Weyne, from “France’s Got Talent” and the French Federation of Prestidigitator Artists. The show will also include a host that will change according to language and region. 

“We are thrilled to partner with The Works Entertainment for this live, interactive magic spectacular, especially given their strong pedigree and their understanding and appreciation of the Now You See Me brand,” says Jenefer Brown, senior vice president, global lie and location-based entertainment, Lionsgate. “We know ‘Now You See Me Live’” will give fans worldwide a new way to engage with a franchise they know and love, and we look forward to launching it in China, a region that has been overwhelmingly supportive of the films.”

The global tour will kick off in China in November. 

Lionsgate is also working to expand the intellectual property at its the theme park space at Lionsgate Entertainment World, which will be located in Hengqin, China, and is set to open in early 2019.
