In the wake of the successful new “Frogger” game show on NBC’s Peacock streaming service, Konami Cross Media NY has unveiled an array of new “Frogger” consumer products in support of the property’s 40th anniversary.

The announcement was made by Jennifer Coleman, vice president, licensing and marketing, Konami Cross Media NY.

Hosted by Damon Wayans, Jr. and Kyle Brandt, the new “Frogger” game show premiered on Peacock in September 2021 and featured contestants leveraging both strategy and strength to take on supersized crossings amid daring and wild obstacles. The Peacock deal raised visibility for “Frogger,” one of the most popular video games ever, and introduced the property to a new legion of fans.

“Knowing how beloved ‘Frogger’ is, we wanted to offer a wider lineup of products available to fans following the launch of the new ‘Frogger’ game show on Peacock,” says Coleman. “Our new licensees have a fresh and fun take on ‘Frogger’ with exciting new products for our fans to enjoy.”

Among the new agreements are Homage, with ‘Frogger’ nostalgic T-shirts available through its online store and select retail locations in the U.S. and Great Eastern Entertainment, offering a line of Frogger products including apparel, accessories, throws and blankets, headwear, hydration, home décor/bath/bed, stationery, plush, automotive, impulse/novelty and electronic accessories in the U.S. and Canada. The Yetee plans to offer an original take on the ‘Frogger’ brand on T-shirts, coins, pins, Hawaiian/button-down shirts and posters available exclusively on its online retail store.

Along with the new ‘Frogger’ deals, Konami Cross has signed a deal for “Yu-Gi-Oh.”

“Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens,” the latest television series in the anime franchise, will premiere in the U.S. beginning June 6 on Disney XD and June 7 on Hulu.

The announcement was made today by Kristen Gray, president, Konami Cross Media N.Y.

“Yu-Gi-Oh!' has a long history of success on Hulu and we are now happy to broaden our reach by also bringing the newest series, ‘Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens’ to the Disney XD audience,” says Gray. “The sensibility of the ‘Yu-Gu-Oh!’ brand and its focus on suspense, mystery and adventure will engage viewers and deliver a robust kid and co-viewing audience for both Disney XD and Hulu.”
