Sony Pictures Television's “Outlander” to inspire quilting and sewing fabrics.

Sony Pictures Television has tapped Andover Fabrics for a fabrics range inspired by its TV property “Outlander,” in a deal brokered by Knockout Licensing.

Andover’s new “Outlander” collection will feature a range of fabrics for quilting and sewing.

The “Outlander” TV series is adapted from Diana Gabaldon’s New York Times bestselling Outlander book series. It follows the story of Claire Randall, a married World War II combat nurse, who is mysteriously transported back in time to the 18th century and, by circumstances beyond her control, is thrown into the arms of Jamie Fraser, a romantic young Scottish warrior.

The new range of “Outlander” fabrics will be unveiled at the Spring Quilt Market, May 20, and will be available to consumers at independent quilt stores across the U.S. this October.
