Jim Henson Deals for Labyrinth, 'Fraggle Rock' (Exclusive)

The Jim Henson Company has entered into a five-year agreement with graphic novel and comic book publisher Boom! Studios to develop and publish a slate of titles for The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, “Fraggle Rock” and “The Storyteller.”

Renewed partnership will create at least 17 new publishing titles for the classic television and film brands.

Under the terms of the agreement, Boom! Studios will create at least 17 new titles under its Archaia imprint.

An earlier partnership between the two companies resulted in the publication of 20 new titles, including

Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Creation Myths, Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock Classics Volume 2, The Storyteller Witches #4

and

Jim Henson’s Labyrinth Tales

, among many others.

Additionally, to celebrate this year’s 35th anniversary of

The Dark Crystal

movie release, Archaia began publishing a 12-issue comic book series that will serve as an official sequel that picks up long after the events of the film. The company will also publish the children’s book

Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal Tales

this summer.
