The show, which premiered on the Family Channel in March 2013, follows the lives of an elite group of dancers as they attempt to win the highest levels of competition.

“It is extraordinarily exciting for us to see The Next Step grow as a brand,” says John Young, managing director, Temple Street Productions. “JCorp will do a fantastic job bringing clothing lines to the stores for the legions of Next Step fans in Canada.”

Segal Licensing manages the show’s Canadian licensing program, and BBC Worldwide has acquired international distribution rights to the series.

"I fell in love with the talent of the kids and the show itself after visiting the set,” says Jon Gurman, president, Jcorp. “Looking at the ratings and the thousands of kids coming out to the mall tours, it was a very easy decision to get behind this phenomenal show. It’s great to see how successful and popular this Canadian

TV show has become in such a short period of time.”
