JAKKS Pacific has announced a multi-year renewal with Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands for rights to children’s brand and PBS KIDS series “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.”

Under the agreement, JAKKS will continue to design, manufacture, market and sell figures, plush, role-play items and vehicles for the preschool brand.

The license renewal provides JAKKS with additional opportunities to expand its offerings for “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” in 2022, when the series celebrates 10 years on PBS KIDS. The series has an average of 52 million monthly streams in 2021.

“Our ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’ figures, plush and vehicles have all been a hit at retail over the years,” says Jeremy Sueper, senior director, marketing,JAKKS Pacific. “We can’t wait to release our 2022 line for this incredible property and introduce new items to help celebrate ‘Daniel’s’ 10th anniversary next year.”

“JAKKS Pacific has been a tremendous partner for ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’ since the series launch,” says Kyra Halperin, co-vice president, consumer products, 9 Story Brands. “As we look to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary, we are excited to work together to introduce fresh toys alongside our bestsellers, helping children everywhere connect with ‘Daniel’ and his friends.”

“‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’ is a cornerstone property for Fred Rogers Productions, one that both JAKKS Pacific and 9 Story Brands fully embraced and thoughtfully helped build into a licensing success story,” says Matt Shiels, vice president, business and legal affairs, Fred Rogers Productions. “We look forward to celebrating many more milestones for the brand with these valued partners.”
