Vivid Imaginations, Spin Master, Hachette Livre and more to release products for the animated series.

ITV Studios has partnered up with a slate of licensees to launch its merchandising program for the series “Thunderbirds Are Go” in France, Benelux and the Nordics.

Spearheading the merchandise rollout in each region is master toy licensee Vivid Imaginations, which will launch its first toy range next month. The collection will include a Tracy Island interactive play set, Supersize Thunderbird 2 play set and Tracy brothers action figures.

The range will also have a special launch with Toys ‘R’ Us that will include dedicated end caps in all stores, back-to-school catalogue offers, website banners and more. The toy line will also be complemented with a comprehensive marketing campaign.

In France, the program is supported by licensing agent Nelvana for a full lineup of merchandise; master publisher Hachette Livre for storybooks; and Kid’Abord for a collection of back-to-school stationery and bags in 2017.

Meanwhile, in the Benelux territories, Spin Master will debut its Air Hoggs collection this September; master publishing partner Meis & Maas will launch a range of books and magazine formats next year; Jacob will develop a range of boys’ bags; and home entertainment partner Just Entertainment will launch its second edition DVD next month.

Finally, in the Nordics, Vivid’s toy line will be distributed by Toptoy through their pan-Nordic retail chain BR Toys and Toys ‘R’ Us. ITV Studios has also appointed Alicom to sign local partners across publishing, apparel, accessories and homewares.

“We’re delighted to see ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ attracting a loyal fan-base across Europe and generating a great deal of interest from local partners and retailers, too,” says Trudi Hayward, senior vice president and head, global merchandise, ITV Studios. “There’s much more to come from the brand and these latest developments underline its potential to become one of the most popular boys’ properties in Europe.”
