"Brooklyn Animal Control" and "Wynonna Earp" to get TV treatments.
USA Network has picked up the pilot for "Brooklyn Animal Control," which is based on the IDW Publishing comic book and is being co-produced by Universal Cable Productions and IDW Entertainment. The comic book was created by JT Petty (
) who is also writing the TV series and will executive produce the project.
"Brooklyn Animal Control" follows the inner workings of a secret subdivision of the NYPD that functions as social services for some of the city’s most unique citizens–werewolves.
In other news, Syfy has acquired the U.S. rights to "Wynonna Earp," a live-action television series based on the IDW Publishing comic of the same name that is being produced by Seven24 Films and IDW Entertainment.
