Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products has partnered with Stage Entertainment to launch the “Ice Age on Ice” live tour in the U.S.

Based on the Ice Age movie franchise, the live show will feature an all-new story based on characters Sid, Scrat, Manny, Ellie and Diego as they try to stop a volcano from destroying their home.

Ice Age on Ice” will kick off Dec. 7 in Springfield, Mass., and will visit 24 U.S. cities including Detroit, Mich.; San Jose, Tex.; Indianapolis, Bloomington, Ill.; Portland, Ore; and Madison, Wisc., among others.

The Ice Age live show follows on the heels of the new movie Ice Age: Collision Course, which hits theaters July 22.

Prior to the U.S. tour, “Ice Age on Ice” is hitting Canada as well, with a scheduled 20-city tour that will run through Dec. 4.

Tickets for select cities will be available on IceAgeonIce.com beginning July 15, with remaining cities going on sale in September.
