The Hub Network is planning a new animated series based on Hasbro’s Transformers brand.

Set to debut in 2015, the series is currently in production at Hasbro Studios and will take place years after the battle between Autobots and Decepticons in "Transformers Prime." The as-yet-unnamed new series will center on Bumblebee as he steps up to lead a brand-new team of Autobots.

The new series will blend 3D characters with hand-painted environments.

The Hub is also planning a series of events for the Transformers brand this year in honor of the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
