Australian drama gets agent and first-ever style guide in U.K. and Ireland.

The Seven Network Australia has appointed Licensing Link to represent its long-running TV series "Home and Away" in the U.K. and Eire.

The Australian serial drama chronicles the lives of the residents of Summer Bay, an idyllic small coastal town in New South Wales, Australia. The series currently airs twice daily on Channel 5 in the U.K. and RTE in Ireland, and has been on U.K. and Irish screens since 1988.

Licensing Link will focus on developing a new lifestyle program for the show that will include clothing, giftware, stationery and beach products, as well as promotional partners. For the first time ever, a style guide has also been developed to encapsulate the Aussie beach lifestyle of Summer Bay and support the licensing program.

“'Home and Away' has a loyal TV audience in Great Britain and Ireland–fans have grown up escaping to the iconic beach Summer Bay and new generations since are attracted to the Aussie beach lifestyle," says Kate Green, licensing manager, Seven. “We are excited to partner with Licensing Link to bring to life the 'Home and Away' brand beyond the screen for the first time with a fantastic new style guide. It’s summer everyday in Summer Bay, and that summer feeling is exactly what we will be bringing to the U.K. market.”
