HIT, Nelvana, Sesame Sign Up for VOD in ChinaHIT, Nelvana, Sesame Sign Up for VOD in China

The Chinese video-on-demand company YOU on Demand Holdings has partnered with Nelvana Enterprises, Sesame Workshop and HIT Entertainment to offer kids TV series through its new YOU Kids On Demand subscription platform, which will be launched later this year.

All three deals allow for distribution across digital cable, mobile, IPTV and Internet.

Among the titles that will now be available on-demand in China via YOU Kids are “Elmo's World” and “Play With Me Sesame” (Sesame Workshop); “Bob the Builder” and “Thomas & Friends” (HIT); and “Max & Ruby,” “Maurice Sendak's Little Bear,” “The Berenstain Bears” and “Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends” (Nelvana).
