Revamped series sees ratings success in U.K.

HIT Entertainment's rebooted "Bob the Builder" TV series is striking a chord with audiences in the U.K., where it debuted in September on Channel 5’s Milkshake.

Viewership is growing week on week, and ratings have increased 271 percent since launch.

2016 will see the expansion of the brand's consumer products line with cross-category licensing partners on board for toys, which will roll out in the fall.

“It’s fantastic that the new 'Bob the Builder' series is resonating so strongly with a new generation of fans and demonstrates that the values of the show are still hugely popular within this preschool target market," says Kate Schlomann, vice president, global brand marketing, HIT Entertainment.

HIT Entertainment is producing two 52 x 11 seasons of "Bob the Builder," as well as one 60-minute special that will air in 2017.
