Treme: Stories and Recipes from the Heart of New Orleans
pays tribute to the strong culinary element of the show, featuring recipes from the characters, both real and fictional, who appear in the series.
“‘Treme’ beautifully captures the experience of life in post-Katrina New Orleans, and it wouldn’t be New Orleans without plenty of amazing food,” says Christine Carswell, publisher, Chronicle Books. “Food adds such context and meaning to the array of personal stories in ‘Treme,’ and we’re excited to partner with HBO to create a heritage collection of recipes that extends the smart, funny, visually stunning energy of the series in such a delicious way.”
The cookbook is authored by “Treme” story editor, New Orleans native and award-winning food writer Lolis Eric Elie, with each chapter of the book “provided” by a different character from the series.
"We
