The fifth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" will premiere in more than 170 countries and territories across the globe simultaneously on April 12.

In fact, the entire 10-episode season will be simulcast across HBO networks and broadcast partners worldwide.

The premiere simulcast will come close to breaking the Guinness World Record for TV Drama Simulcast, which was just broken last week by "CSI: Cyber" when its debut premiered in 171 countries. (Previous record holder was the 50th anniversary of "Doctor Who" in 2013, 98 countries.)
