Hasbro Strengthens Offerings with New Film Studio

GLOBAL–In a move to further bolster its entertainment offerings, Hasbro has hired Greg Mooradian to oversee the company’s film division Allspark Pictures, according to Variety.

Greg Mooradian will now oversee Hasbro’s film division Allspark Pictures.

Hasbro currently has a distribution deal with Paramount; however, the company wants to expand the relationship so Paramount is also partnering on financing films and developing projects, rather than just distributing movies inspired by Hasbro’s properties, including

reports that Hasbro has previously contemplated

buying a movie and television company. In 2014, the company was in discussions with DreamWorks before they ended over price disagreements. The studio was also looking to purchase Lionsgate, but called off negotiations after a deal could not be reached.
