A new range of collectibles will feature Zag’s animated characters

GLOBAL—Independent animation studio Zag has appointed two new global licensing partners for its series “Miraculous, Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.”

Funko is on board to release a trio of collectible Pop! stylized vinyl figurines based on the series including characters Ladybug with Tikki, Cat Noir with Plagg and more.

Meanwhile, Pez will create a line of candy dispensers. The line will be available worldwide in May, excluding China, Japan and Korea.

Funko and Pez join a roster of licensees including Bandai, the master toy partner, Ferraro for Kind Joy & Surprise Eggs, Zara for perfume, Panini for magazines and sticker books and Guess? for children’s fashion.

“I am delighted to see the ‘Miraculous’ heroes come to life through popular collectibles created by Pez and Funko. Offering kids and young adults the chance to get their hands on these fun figures will surely contribute to Ladybug and Cat Noir becoming pop culture icons,” says Jeremy Zag, founder and chief executive officer, Zag. “We are really proud to collaborate with such illustrious partners. Funko Pop! vinyls are super cool and Pez was always a part of my childhood, and I am overjoyed to know that these new products will bring timeless joy to fans around the world.”
