Electronic Arts and Firemonkeys Studio have announced a partnership with Funko and “The Sims FreePlay” for a free update.

Players can find spooky surprises in a free “Funkoween” Fun Pack to add Halloween elements to their Sims home.

“Funko, Halloween, The Sims,” says Jason Bischoff, director of global licensing and business development, Funko. “You don’t have to speak Simlish to understand the vast potential at play. At Funko, we’re all about pushing the creative envelope and finding new ways to excite and honor our fans. The team at EA and Firemonkies have been kindred spirits bringing this incredible program to life. We can’t wait to discover what players create with these spooky, new ‘Funkoween’ elements!”

All players can go to the online store in-game to redeem the pack. The items are sent directly to their inventory and can be placed anywhere in a Sim’s home lot through Build Mode.

“We were inspired to partner up with Funko – an exclusive first for The Sims franchise,” says Joe Donoghue, general manager, EA Firemonkeys. “We’ve collaborated to bring Funko’s iconic Pop! Style to life through fun Halloween content for mobile players that gives them the ability to express themselves and celebrate the spooky season with their Sims – even if they might not be able to in the way we’re used to. We hope that Funko fans love the in-game collection as much as we do.”
