Starz has picked up FremantleMedia’s “Bindi’s Bootcamp” and will begin airing the live-action kids’ series on its Starz Kids & Family channel May 1.

Hosted by the daughter of the late Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, the wildlife-based game show is shot on location at the iconic Australia Zoo. Three teams of two kids each compete to win a trip with Bindi to participate in an Irwin Family conservation program, with each episode featuring a race through the zoo, a mental challenge and an obstacle course.

“With ‘Bindi’s Bootcamp’ we wanted to create a show that would test kids’ mental prowess, endurance and inner strength, all while inspiring them to respect nature and conservation,” says Sander Schwartz, president, FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment. “Starz Kids & Family is dedicated to bringing unique and rich shows to families across America, and they will be the perfect home for this incredible wildlife adventure.”
