Upcoming TV series will launch with a raft of products including cards, notebooks and more.

FremantleMedia North America has partnered with Chronicle Books and Dark Horse Deluxe to launch a range of products inspired by FremantleMedia’s upcoming TV series, “American Gods.”

First, Chronicle Books will publish a book that will give readers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the TV series.

Meanwhile, Dark Horse Deluxe, a division of Dark Horse Comics, will develop a slate of novelty and collectible products including a 3D crystal laser-etched cube, sculpted coin replica pin, playing cards, barware, embroidered patches, coaster sets, lenticular cards, journals, notebooks and optical illusion products.

“American Gods” is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novel of the same name. With a war brewing between old and new gods, the new series follows characters Shadow Moon and Mr. Wednesday as they embark on a cross-country mission to gather forces in preparation to battle the new gods.

The series is slated to premiere on Starz next year.

“The epic, complex and diverse world of ‘American Gods’ provides unique and dynamic product opportunities,” says Andrea Brent, senior vice president, licensing and franchise management, FremantleMedia. “We’re looking forward to showcasing the property further at Licensing Expo as we look to establish additional partners across all categories.”
