FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment has launched a major brand awareness and retail campaign in the U.K. to support Flair’s spring/summer Tree Fu Tom toy range and other licensed products for the preschool brand.
The campaign kicked off with a Tree Fu Tom promotion in 600 First Choice and Thomson stores this month that includes distribution of 60,000 Tree Fu Tom activity sheets along with a competition and branded display units in each store.
In February new episodes of the series will air on CBeebies and Big World Magic will come to life in the first-ever Tree Fu Tom live shows, which will take place exclusively at Westfield shopping centers in London, Derby and Merry Hill. Tree Fu Tom will feature in five performances a day that will be supported by retailer activity at The Entertainer stores in each Westfield venue.
February will also see two nationwide promotions with major toy retailers featuring gift-with-purchase and competitions and supported by character appearances.
Finally, May will see the launch of the Tree Fu Tom zone within the new CBeebies Land area at the Alton Towers theme park.
Flair’s new Tree Fu Tom toy range includes a collection of role play items including the Ranger Tom Utility Belt with accessories such as a Tree Fu Ranger book, clip-on badges and compass with magnifying glass.
“Preschoolers continue to enjoy the adventures of Tree Fu Tom and the new episodes on CBeebies are resonating strongly,” says Tessa Moore, vice president, brand management, FremantleMedia Kids and Family Entertainment. “We are investing heavily this spring in a range of wide-reaching and engaging brand activity to support our retail and licensing partners. The brand continues to perform well at retail and we are particularly excited to be connecting Tree Fu Tom with kids in a range of live activities and experiences.”
