The Fred Rogers Company has renewed its master publishing agreement with Simon & Schuster for “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” through 2022.

Out of the Blue Enterprises, the brand’s licensing agent, brokered the deal.

Through the multi-year partnership, Simon & Schuster will publish more than a dozen new “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” titles this year in a host of different formats–including hardcover, trade paperback and eBook. The first four new books are now available and additional titles are set to roll out throughout the remainder of the year.

“Simon & Schuster has been a wonderful partner for ‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’ and we’re so pleased that an even broader assortment of books will be available for children and families to enjoy well into the future,” says Paul Siefken, president and chief executive officer, The Fred Rogers Company. “We’re also excited to welcome these new partners into the family to provide fans with even more ways to learn and grow along with Daniel and his friends.”

Additionally, Out of the Blue has secured several new licensing partners for the brand including:

  • Church & Dwight for toothbrush and orajel toothpaste, set to debut this fall;

  • Fabric Traditions for printed fabric, scheduled for spring 2018;

  • Hallmark for Christmas ornaments for holiday 2017;

  • Party City for party goods such as tableware, décor, favors, balloons and more for this fall; and

  • SCS Direct for melamine tableware, icepacks and lunch bags, due out this fall.

“‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood’ continues to deeply resonate with kids and families nationwide and we are delighted to be working with these exceptional licensees to extend the fun and positive messages of the series beyond the screen,” says Samantha Freeman, co-founder and president, Out of the Blue.
