Series of movies starring the late actress will be available for licensing across the EMEA region.

Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products has developed a design-based collection in the EMEA region inspired by the portfolio of 12 Fox-owned films featuring Marilyn Monroe.

The new collection, titled Fox Presents the Films of Marilyn, will launch as individual consumer ranges inspired by each movie including How to Marry a Millionaire, Monkey Business and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. In addition to the 12 films, Fox’s collection also includes poster art, exclusive stills and behind-the-scenes photography.

FCP is currently planning to license the collection across categories within the travel, home gifting, food, health and beauty, stationery and lingerie categories. To kick off the program, FCP has already tapped several licensees for merchandise including U.K.-based Designer Fragrances for How to Marry a Millionaire-inspired women’s fragrance and gift sets, slated to launch this month in Europe; MC2 Saint Barth for a range of swimwear, beach bags and t-shirts based on How to Marry a Millionaire for spring/summer 2017; and Bierdronka for a range of chocolates and ice cream inspired by the films, as well as gift biscuit tins for Christmas 2016 and health and beauty products for 2017.

“The films of Marilyn Monroe embody a period of glamour and opulence that is as relevant and aspirational today as it has ever been,” says Sandra Vauthier-Cellier, senior vice president, EMEA, FCP. “Each movie, and Marilyn’s character within it, provides a unique narrative that has the potential to inspire consumer products that will become ‘must own’ items for women across the EMEA region.”
