Scripps Networks Latin America, a division of Scripps Networks Interactive, has launched its food lifestyle channel Food Network on Cable Onda, the largest pay-TV platform in Panama.

Food Network offers global programming featuring kitchen competition, culinary adventure, instructional cooking and home entertaining with series such as "Chopped," "Beat Bobby Flay" and "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

"Food Network is the gold standard in lifestyle culinary programming, and by bringing the channel to viewers in Panama, we are giving Spanish-speaking audiences more choices when it comes to watching the best food-related programming around the world," says Márcio Fonseca, managing director, Scripps Networks Latin America. "We are thrilled to partner with Cable Onda to bring our beloved chefs and popular shows into the hearts and homes of audiences across Panama.”

The extension of Food Network across Panama marks the channel's continued expansion across Latin America. Food Network’s first Latin American launch was on Sky in Brazil in November 2014, followed by the pan-regional launch of the channel on DirecTV. Today, the channel is available in more than 6 million homes across the region.
