Lynn Whitney, former executive vice president, worldwide media, Warner Bros., has joined Lionsgate as its new head of global paid media, partnerships, promotions and consumer products.

The newly minted Lionsgate executive will be tasked with developing media campaigns, advancing the micro-targeting capabilities of the Lionsgate Data Center, as well as overseeing the studio’s partnerships, promotions, and consumer products with Paula Kupfer, who runs consumer products. Whitney will report to Damon Wolf, president, worldwide marketing, Lionsgate, in their new role in the reimagined global marketing division.

“I am tremendously excited and honored to be a part of the new marketing team Lionsgate is assembling,” says Whitney. “I love the creative, entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of Lionsgate and more than anything, I love the group Damon is putting in place, bringing so many unique voices to the table. There is an electricity and camaraderie here that I have not felt since the days when I was a member of the start-up team that launched Fox Broadcasting. This feels like something different and very unique.”
