Media company now owns controlling stake in the preschool brand.
eOne has purchased the controlling stake in the global brand and, as part of the deal, ABD has agreed to produce an additional 52 episodes of the hit series.
The deal underpins eOne’s content ownership strategy. Since 2007, "Peppa Pig" has been co-owned and distributed globally by eOne. Now, with new episodes in production, eOne will look to maximize value through the centralized and holistic management of the brand’s worldwide exploitation across all platforms.
