eOne Expands Peppa in the U.S.

The announcement comes on the heels of the brand’s new deal with Jazwares, which will serve as the Peppa Pig master toy partner in North America beginning in 2015.

This year, Peppa Pig will expand its presence at specialty retailers nationwide with the extension of the brand’s plush collection. An assortment of Beanie Babies from new U.S. licensing partner Ty will feature Peppa, Brother George and numerous other characters from the television series.

On the apparel front, the brand will extend its reach through a partnership with Happy Threads. The company will launch Peppa Pig-themed apparel for girls age 12 months to 7 years. Komar Kids has signed on to produce the brand’s first-ever children’s sleepwear collection in the U.S. Children will also have access to a new collection of backpacks, bags, lunch kits, luggage, headwear, hosiery and cold weather

accessories from Accessory Innovations.

Rounding out the new assortment of soft goods, Character World will launch a collection of Peppa Pig-themed bedding and home accessories including blankets and throws, bath and beach towels, cushions, and inflatable and bean-filled chairs featuring the show’s signature graphics and colors.

“As Peppa’s fan base continues to grow in the U.S., we’ve seen an increase in demand for a wide range of Peppa Pig licensed products,” says Joan Grasso, vice president, licensing, North America, eOne. “We look forward to offering fans even more opportunities to engage with Peppa and are excited to work with both our current and new licensing partners in 2014 and beyond.”
