Entertainment One is expanding the Peppa Pig brand in Asia with new broadcast and licensing deals in Korea.

The deals were brokered by eOne’s new territory manager in Asia, Daniela Flower. Flower will oversee broadcast and licensing deals for eOne’s portfolio of entertainment properties across all regions in Asia, excluding Japan.

“Peppa Pig” will air on Korea’s Educational Broadcast System beginning later this month, and Cocoban has been appointed as licensing agent in the region. Cocoban is planning to release the first line of Peppa merchandise in the fourth quarter of this year.

“Peppa Pig’s humor crosses cultural boundaries and our partnership with such a strong and focused broadcaster as EBS will provide fantastic exposure for the brand in Korea,” says Olivier Dumont, managing director, eOne Family. “Asia is a key strategic market for Peppa, and Daniela’s impressive network of contacts will help us make inroads there that will take the brand to the next level.”
