“Netflix boasts one of the largest and fastest-growing audiences in kids’ television. They pioneered a new model for TV dramas with ‘House of Cards,’ and now together, we’re doing the same thing with kids’ programming,” says Jeffrey Katzenberg, chief executive officer, DreamWorks.

The series, “Turbo: F.A.S.T. (Fast Action Stunt Team),” will debut on Netflix this December, following the July 19 release of the animated movie. The series will be available in all 40 countries where Netflix is available.

follows an ordinary snail that dares to chase a big dream–to compete in the Indianapolis 500. “Turbo: F.A.S.T.” will pick up where the movie leaves off.

In a second agreement, future feature titles from DreamWorks Animation will also be made available on Netflix, beginning with

the studio’s 2013 film lineup.

“DreamWorks Animation has a long track record of creating incredibly successful characters and stories that delight people of all ages,” says Ted Sarandos, chief content officer, Netflix. “We’re thrilled to add the Turbo series as well as all new DreamWorks Animation films, starting with their 2013 slate, to Netflix.”
