DreamWorks Animation has acquired the library of children’s TV production and licensing company Chapman Entertainment.

With the acquisition DWA adds to its growing library of family entertainment brands that also include properties gained when it acquired Classic Media last August.

Among the Chapman brands that DWA will add to its roster are Fifi and the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Little Charley Bear.

“We’re pleased to bring such original and imaginative programming into the DreamWorks Animation fold,” says Eric Ellenbogen, co-head, International TV and DreamWorks Classics, DreamWorks Animation. “The Chapman acquisition reaffirms our commitment to U.K.-based productions of distinction, and we look forward to delivering brand new TV adventures from these popular series.”

Chapman programs will be distributed through DreamWorks Animation’s U.K.-based TV distribution operation.
