
The new land will replace parts of Paradise Pier next year with Pixar-themed attractions.

The new land, titled Pixar Pier, will be located along the southern shore of Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure Park and will introduce four Pixar-themed neighborhoods as well as a new roller coaster inspired by
The Incredibles
.
The first neighborhood located within Pixar Pier is inspired by
The Incredibles
and will open next summer with the Incredicoaster. The neighborhood will also feature new character moments, scenes and special effects to connect the attractions to the upcoming film
The Incredibles 2
, which opens in theaters June 14, 2018.
The second and third neighborhoods are inspired by
Toy Story
and
Inside Out
, respectively, and the fourth neighborhood will celebrate a collection of guest-favorite Pixar stories, such as
A Bug’s Life, La Luna
and
Wall-E
.
Pixar Pier is set to debut during Pixar Fest, a limited time event that begins
To accommodate these changes, several attractions are set to close on Jan. 8 including: California Screamin’, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk and Sideshow Shirts. Ariel’s Grotto restaurant and the Cove Bar will also be transformed into a Pixar-themed lounge.
