Toys, apparel and more to hit shelves in advance of the Nov. 27 premiere.
Disney is readying for the U.K. theatrical release of Disney•Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur with plans for a broad range of original product lines.
As a lead up to the new film, the studio is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Toy Story, the first-ever feature film made entirely via computer-generated animation, with new product ranges as well.
The Good Dinosaur, which premieres in the U.K. on Nov. 27, asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?
The Good Dinosaur key licensee Tomy has created a new toy line that features action figures such as interactive Arlo and Spot, talking plush toys and a Galloping Butch, among others. Other planned products include Arlo Walkie Talkies from Kid Design; a scooter and bicycle from Mondo; games and puzzles from Cartamundi and Ravensburger; a homewares range from Stor featuring lunch boxes, plates, bowls and cups; footwear from Leomil; and a range of t-shirts for boys and girls from NJ Screen Prints.
Toy Story, which paved the way for properties such as The Good Dinosaur, continues to be one of the most popular properties for Disney. To celebrate the franchise's milestone 20th anniversary, Mattel and Thinkway have revealed new product lines, available now. Additionally, the new addition Toy Story 4 is slated for release in June 2018.
