Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins is embarking on an experiential retail tour in the U.K. dubbed Doc’s Check-Up Clinic.

Free to the public, the touring check-up clinic will make stops at Tesco, Smyths and Toys ‘R’ Us stores across the nation beginning Feb. 8.

Kids will get to dress up in a doctor’s tunic, complete with stethoscope and clipboard and then go inside Doc’s clinic where they will treat Big Ted (diagnose the problem, practice putting plaster on his arm and check his heart rate).

Once the examination is completed, participants will receive a certificate and a special offer on specific Doc merchandise that can be redeemed in-store.

“Creating and nurturing successful franchises is key for us at Disney, and throughout 2013, Doc McStuffins has proved that it has the ability to span our different businesses, create value, whilst being truly multi-regional with its storylines, themes and characters,” says Anna Hill, vice president and chief marketing officer, Disney U.K. “We understand that having to visit the doctor can be a scary experience for young children. Doc’s Check-Up Clinic will help lessen the fear associated with the doctor’s office by offering children a fun, familiar and engaging way to experience playing the role.”
