The short-form programming will highlight characters from series such as “The Lion Guard,” “Miles from Tomorrowland,” “Gravity Falls” and “Star Wars Rebels,” among others, and will feature activities and lessons including workout video for kids, ages 2 to 7; yoga-inspired poses; how to eat a balanced and nutritious diet; and messages about general exercise and healthy eating, among others.

The interstitials will rotate daily on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior.

The programming is also part of Disney’s company-wide Healthy Living Commitment, an initiative designed to help making healthy living fun and simple.

“We have an ongoing dialogue with parents who tell us they appreciate our efforts to model healthy lifestyle choices,” says Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. “One of the ways we do that is by ensuring healthier standards for food products seen within our kids' television, radio and digital programming, and by using our platforms to inspire kids to eat nutritious foods and be active.”

The health-themed Disney interstitials are now airing on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Channel.
