Discovery Consumer Products is currently exploring licensing and brand extension opportunities for its core properties, including Discovery Channel, Discovery Expedition, Discovery Adventures and Animal Planet.

Building on the success of Discovery Expedition, an outdoor apparel and lifestyle brand in Asia, where more than 100 retail locations opened in the last two years, Discovery Consumer Products is now seeking licensees across Europe for key lifestyle items under the Discovery Expedition umbrella including apparel, footwear, accessories and more.

The Discovery Adventures travel and experiences brand in Europe is designed to equip consumers with the tools needed to start their exploration of the world around them. Categories being explored to further satisfy the adventurers include, but are not limited to, camping gear, luggage and travel accessories.

This year, Animal Planet struck an international partnership with Mojo across Europe, South America and Asia for an extensive range of high-end collectible animal figurines. New partnerships in the toy space with leading category licensees, including EDU-Science and Morphsuits U.K., continue to expand the reach of the Animal Planet brand and Discovery Consumer Products plans to continue growing its global offering.

Following the success of Animal Planet’s rapidly growing Pet Products program in the U.S., Discovery Consumer Products is looking to establish partners across EMEA within this expanding market from dog toys and leashes to blankets, beds and more.

Additionally, Discovery Consumer Products is looking to the increasingly popular trend and heightened demand for dinosaurs. With access to a vast library of content, including pre-historic subjects, the transition into dinosaur is a natural extension of the Animal Planet brand. The dinosaur space creates an array of new product opportunities for Toys, as well as categories including apparel, back to school, publishing, and more.
