Discovery Family Channel is planning 200 hours of new programming and more than 20 new series for the 2015-16 season, in its first full season since being re-branded (formerly The Hub) last fall.

DFC is a joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications.

“Discovery Family Channel is off to a fast and furious start and we’re confident that the best is yet to come,” says Tom Cosgrove, general manager, Discovery Family Channel. “With a solid daytime anchored by beloved Hasbro properties like 'My Little Pony,' and a revved up primetime schedule filled with everything from wildlife and pets to history and mystery, we’re poised to continue our growth trajectory as we super-serve families with content they can enjoy together.”

Returning series include "Littlest Pet Shop" (season four), "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" (season six), "Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures" (season four) and "Transformers Rescue Bots" (season four).

New series planned for this season include:

  • "From Wags to Riches with Bill Berloni" (working title)–Theatrical animal trainer Bill Berloni, who cultivated Sandy, the dog featured the original run of "Annie" on Broadway, will star in the series about animal training and rescue work.

  • "American Finders" (working title)–Guests return to thank someone in their past who changed their life.

  • "Beasts Behaving Badly"–The stories behind the best clips of wild animals invading human spaces.

  • "Babies Behaving Badly"–What do babies really do when we aren’t looking?

  • "Secret America"–The stories behind some of America's biggest landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Mt. Rushmore.

  • "Who's Been Sleeping in My House?"–Home owners find out about the families who lived in their house before them.
