Network looks to expand top brands such as Animal Planet and Shark Week.

Discovery Consumer Products is exploring new licensing and brand extension opportunities for its core properties including Discovery Channel, Discovery Adventures and Animal Planet this week at Brand Licensing Europe in London.

The Discovery Adventures brand, which encourages consumers to make their world bigger with consumer products that make outdoor exploration and adventure possible, will debut a range of hard goods and travel products including camping gear, luggage and travel accessories.

The Animal Planet brand has partnered with Chrisco in Denmark and 151 Pets in the U.K. for a line of Animal Planet pet treats. The company has partnered with Wild Republic Europe to create a line of plush and toy items based on the Animal Planet brand, including the franchise Too Cute, as well as Shark Week. The line will debut this fall. Additionally, Retail 3000 is currently developing partnerships at toy stores in Israel for the Animal Planet brand that include toys and games, as well as dress-up. Retail 300 will items from existing licensees to create a cohesive retail presence for the brand in Israel and will also begin developing new product for 2016. Discovery Consumer Products is looking to establish new partners for the Animal Planet brand across the EMEA region in toys, bedding, pet accessories and homewares.

Discovery Consumer Products will also be featuring the core Discovery Channel brand and its sub-brands such as Shark Week and the series "How’s it Made."

Paladone Products is creating a range under the Discovery Channel brand featuring interactive gifts and gadgets that will launching in April 2016 in the U.K. and Europe.

Shark Week is rapidly growing around the world and this year, Discovery Consumer Products is seeking partners to expand this property across the EMEA region.
