DHX Media has started production on "Supernoobs," a brand-new animated kids’ comedy commissioned by Teletoon Canada and acquired by Cartoon Network U.S.

Aimed at 6- to 11-year-olds, the series is created by Scott Fellows, also creator of DHX Media’s animated series "Johnny Test."

DHX Media has television, licensing and merchandising rights globally, with the exception of initial Canadian and U.S. broadcast rights, which are held by Teletoon and Cartoon Network U.S. respectively.

The Super-Tastic-Supernoobs is where the evils of the universe and the evils of adolescence collide. 12-year-old nerdy best friends Kevin, Tyler, Shope and the Roach have to survive the harrowing hallways of middle school and the microcosmic assassins infecting earthlings, bent on destroying them and the planet.

“We are very happy to be collaborating on a new Scott Fellows project on our animated slate, following the success of 'Johnny Test,'" says Steven DeNure, president and chief executive officer, DHX Media. "The commitment of Teletoon and Cartoon Network U.S. is testament to his creative talent. 'Supernoobs' is no doubt another significant addition to our lineup.”
