DHX Names 'Twirlywoos' Master Toy

DHX Brands has unveiled the new preschool series "Twirlywoos," commissioned by CBeebies and being produced by DHX Media and Ragdoll Productions.
DHX, which is handling global distribution, merchandising, brand management and marketing for the property, has already appointed Golden Bear as the new brand's master toy licensee. Golden Bear is planning a toy range that will focus primarily on plush and plastics (play sets, figurines), bath toys and games and activity products. The line is expected to launch in 2016.
The 50x11 series will combine stop-frame animation and live-action and stars the Twirlywoos, four small, bird-like characters who are inquisitive, enthusiastic and always looking to learn something new about the world.

"Anne Wood and her team at Ragdoll Productions have an exceptional track record in creating standout preschool content, and Golden Bear have a superb pedigree in the preschool toy arena, so it’s a natural fit. We are expecting a huge amount of interest from licensees at the show as we expand the licensing program.”
