DHX Brands has appointed a swath of new U.K. licensing partners for the upcoming rebooted “Teletubbies” TV series.

Copyright Promotions Licensing Group, the U.K. licensing agent for the brand, negotiated the deals.

Product across all core categories will roll out at retail beginning in 2016.

New partners include: Ravensburger for themed puzzles; MV Sports for wheeled and outdoor toys; International Greetings for the arts and crafts category; Gemma for greeting cards; and Rainbow Productions for costume characters of Tinky Winky, Laa Laa, Dipsy and Po.

DHX Brands also recently appointed Character Options as the global master toy licensee for the brand.

The new 60-episode season of “Teletubbies” has been commissioned by CBeebies, and will be produced for DHX Media by U.K. production company Darrall Macqueen. It will feature the same well-loved characters as the original, but will bring a refreshed, contemporary look to one of the world’s most well known preschool properties.

“There has been a phenomenal response from the licensing community to the new ‘Teletubbies,’ and we are delighted to welcome on board these best-in-class partners, who will help to set the ball rolling on the eagerly anticipated consumer products program,” says Peter Byrne, executive vice president, DHX Brands.
